The Design process-

Step 1-   Documentation, Data collecting + Feasibility
Establishing what you have, what you want and can you do it

This initial step is crucial.
It provides the foundation for the entire project and establishes design parameters. First, your goals, needs and requirements are discussed and confirmed. This is commonly referred to as ‘programming’. This program will become the baseline requirements for the completed project. During this phase existing conditions and as-built measurements are taken.  A basic set of drawings showing ‘existing conditions’ is created and a copy is given to you for your records.  Code and zoning research is also conducted in this phase to ascertain what is permissible. Lastly, your established budget is discussed to determine that it is consistent with your goals for the project.
